While the garden sleeps a soft winter is bringing buckets of rain. After one exciting frosty morning, now mild Atlantic weather systems have taken over and instead of winter wonderland we should
have a wet and windy Christmas.
We need to keep a warm flame in our hearts at this time of the year, a memory of heat and light,
to see us through until the spring. Time to get the 4 candles of Advent lighting and to retreat indoors.

But I remember that the first day of Advent (27th November) was dry. Deep dry. High and dry. Though I miss the blanket of Atlantic moisture.

Magical images. The water spheres manage the light so. I selfishly hope you get some snow so I can see the photographs you take of it too.
How delicate does the grass look with it's dainty drips of rain. Happy first of December.
I'd say it's sparkling rather than dripping and so appropriate them for Advent x

It's so hard o photograph raindrops on delicate grass heads. The second photograph is so delicate.
These are beautiful pictures...I could feel the soft misty rain...definitely time for me to get warm...weather still a it warmer than unusual but it is getting colder...brrr.
Oh! Raindrop envy... what beautiful photos. That is my next challenge, learn to take raindrop photos, using yours as a benchmark.

The rosy-purple leaves in your last photo are exactly the color of Advent candles. When I was a child this time of waiting seemed so long! Now it goes by far too quickly. Stay warm!

Beautiful photos! We are having lots of rain here, too, and it's beginning to turn cold. I love the inward turning of winter, the coziness, the warmth of a fire. And I love gray days and dripping foliage! Now, I can love all of this, because our winter is short. By February I will be looking for the first signs of spring!
